Dear Parents !

With a view to help our children to blossom into good citizen of this great nation, I wish to share certain commandments of good parenting with you :

(i) Ask your child to love from the core of his heart and not just from his/her mind .

(ii) Believe your child and ask him/her to believe in himself / herself .

(iii) Tell your child to be self - sufficient and confident .

(iv) Adopt flexible approach towards your child .

(v) Listen to your child patiently. He is very likely to offer something of use to you.

(vi) Devote more time to bring up your child rather than spending huge sums of money.

(vii) Allow your child to become what he/ she wants to be and not only what you want him/her to be.

(viii) Praise your child openly when he/she does some thing good . Make him/her realize his/her undesirable behaviour in an affectionate manner.

(ix) Create a homely environment in your family for proper development of your child.

(x) Allow your child to grow and learn through his / her mistakes.

(xi) Communicate gently but clearly to get your point across.

(xii) Hug your child and express your feelings of love and affection.

(xiii) Ask your child to learn and cultivate traits of good personality such as honesty, integrity, patience , empathy , self - discipline, courage and perseverance.

(xiv) Make humour and laughter a part of your relationship with your children.

Remember

That , however ambitious you may be in shaping the life of your child , there is always a limit to what he/she can accomplish.
